Getting Ready for your NEW BABY

( for my people, have a vet. health check  ready, with in 4 days of pick up. I don't count weekends. )

FOR YEARS 22 years  had used Diamond Small Breed Puppy in the Siilver and Blue Bag. without issue.

Saddly they changed something, if I have one dog turn up their nose, ok, But when you have all of them turn up their nose and the one that did eat, vomit it up. .        I will NOT NO LONGER feed that.

So I have changed over to

Taste of the Wild. PUPPY

I read many bags. The differance.

Taste of the Wild

fat 17% Diamond 18%

Calcium (Not listed) Diamond 1%

Taurine 0.12% Diamond  (not Listed)

Taurine is important for a healthy Heart.

So I will add some Cottagecheese for Calcium. 

many other puppy food on Calories are much lower, and low on fat too. They need that.

purchase this at TSC,  Tractor Supply Co. They are ALL over TEXAS and other States.

Not to sound mean, But, I really do not Care what your Vet say's. You buy ONE SMALL bag.

There is NO CORN in this dog food. read the label and you will also like this food

DO NOT CHANGE THEIR DOG FOOD AT FIRST;

 EVERYTHING IS NEW INCLUDING THE TASTE OF YOUR WATER !!

2. WASH ALL NEW TOYS WHEN EVER POSSIBLE !!!  Why? The reason is, Someone just went to the SPCA and touched or purchased a pup that could have PARVO.  That pup licks there hands they go to the store and touch the Toys.  And then you bring it home !!!!

3.  NEVER EVER LET YOUR PUP GO TO THE VET AND SIT ON THE FLOOR.  You never know what just came in before YOU ! I NEVER ALLOW MINE TO TOUCH THE VETS FLOOR.

4. Plan for a safe place for your new pup. Locking them up in a Crate is NOT the place for a pup for HOURS and HOURS. They need the room to eat and go potty and sleep.

I have had people go ahead and do this and call me  ALL upset that they are peeing and pooping in the Crate. 

I tell them the best way to stop this. Is to do the same.  Have your breakfast and coffee. Pee once, before you go to work and  DO NOT GO TO THE BATHROOM UNTIL YOU GET HOME ! 

 Every Time they Tell me  " I can't do that".

But yet they expect their baby puppy to do THIS !!

A baby gate for the laundry or bath room door works great, or a excerise pen in the kitchen also works. Even when they are grown is a good safe place for them.

5. Pups as they grow will be cutting in their adult teeth. Have REAL bone's for them to chew on. even Cow hooves are good. But wash off the oils with only Hot Water. I do Not Give the Raw Hide chews. Reason, they can chew off a small piece and choke and I do not like the Chemicals they use on them !!! But Do give them something they can chew on or they will find something to chew on.

6. You can Not put them on a Kitchen counter top and walk away and think they will Not Jump .... THEY WILL.

7. Puppy and children;  Remember You and your children will Love that dog more than your children friends do. When the puppy is young. Have the visiting children SIT on the FLOOR to visit Your New Baby.  THERE IS NO OOPS .. FALLING ON A CHIHUAHUA PUP WILL KILL THEM OR IF YOU ARE LUCKY YOU WILL ONLY HAVE A VET BILL.

8. NO  Slamming of doors behind you.  Yes, I had a husband and wife (no kids) get into  argument and the husband slammed the bedroom door behind him, he wasn't seeing who was fallowing him and beheaded their 4 lb little girl. I'm not sure if they are still married.

9. Do check out your back yard fence for any holes ! Chihuahus love to sun themself.  Even if they are in your home they will find the sun coming in from a widow and will lay in it.
